Allergies to Something Loved?

It's a rather cruel thought to be allergic to something you loved. Would you give it up or would you not?

For me, if I was allergic to the following items, I think I would go insane if I had to give them up:
1. Medium-roast coffee
2. Ice cream
3. Chocolate (the good quality...not the junk that's 99% high fructose corn syrup....yuck)
4. Feta cheese
5. Lemon juice

I would probably cut down on the above items if I was allergic...but would I be able to give them up? It would all depend on how severe....would it mean I could not breathe after eating it? If that was the case, yes, I'd give it up. But if the reaction was just a minor irritation, I don't think I would.

Jan - May 2009 Reading List

I thought it would be fun to keep a log of all the books I've read thus far in the first five months of 2009, and quickly just give it a rating, so if I'm ever bored and want to go back, I shall remember the title.

Drumrolls please; the list is below, though not necessarily in chronological order. Ratings are from 1 (Excellent) to 6 (Horrible).

Just a word of caution; there won't be any 6 ratings, because I wouldn't have the patience to sit through such a crappy book...unless of course it was assigned for class or a requirement for some other purpose :)

1. The Bodies Left Behind by Jeffrey Deaver - Thriller: 1
2. New Moon by Stephenie Meyer - Young Adult Fantasy - vampires: 2
3. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer - Young Adult Fantasy - vampires: 2
4. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer - Young Adult Fantasy - vampires: 1
5. Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast - Young Adult Fantasy - vampires: 3
6. Betrayed by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast - Young Adult Fantasy - vampires: 1
7. King of Lies by John Hart - Thriller: 1
8. All Night Long (Sweet Valley High series) - Young Adult: 4
9. Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead - Young Adult Fantasy - vampires: 1
10. Succubus Dreams by Richelle Mead - Urban Fantasy: 1

Obviously, I need to expand my horizons and start on other genres...but as you can see, my interests lie really in thrillers and fantasy.
