Poem #23 - Earth Day was Yesterday

Earth Day falls on the 22nd of April each year,
For people to work on the wish,
That the land, air and seas will be pollution clear.

It is on this day when people show their appreciation,
As well as their revelation,
Of the importance of maintaining the environment,
And to teach the ways of becoming more energy efficient.

Special projects are also performed,
Such as a day of planting flowers and trees,
So that when summer comes,
We get visits from the honey bees.

Recycling is encouraged as well,
So spread the word and to everyone tell,
That isn't it better to live in a place,
That is truly a clean space?
